the rims actually come in both silver and gold, so no they weren't painted.
thanks for all the positive comments, and about the rust, the black one is immaculate (or close to  ), and so this is going to serve as the winter rat.

i just installed strut bar designed for a rex on my 91 ss and it fit fine after bending the mounts a bit. i believe the bolts are placed in a slightly different manner on the newer cars, but it is very easily rectified. good luck bro.

on the strut tower cone. We took the hammer to them to reshape em but it still rubs right were the spring is seated in the lip. The rims are 7" wide.
ciper, tell me, do you think 5 mm spacer will cause excessive wear on the bearings??

they are gold uk wrx rims, which are 55 offset. Its only on the back right side that they rub. Im thinking a 5mm spacer in the back would do it. DO you think i would need no lugnuts or would the stock ones be long enough?
thanks alot guys :D gordini

i have seen a number of legs without the chrome strip, and it looks pretty good, the only thing is there are a number of holes, but they arent so visible. Painting them is a bada idea for they will quickly change color and wont match the rest of the paint. my 2 cents.

As a life long montrealer i have to say i really love the fact my govt spends 640 million on cultural activities, instead of silly debt reduction programs (like the govt of ont.) which will provide few long term benefits. The great thing about quebec is our understanding that big buisness isnt the o...

the car starts and runs no prob with the new battery, the main problem is no charge making it from the alternator to the battery. There is one weird thing however, and thats whenever i put on the left turn signal the lights cut. :?
