Well, I modified my stock air box and did the coffee mug mod and believe it or not my idle vacuum increased by nearly 2in. of mercury. I am sure I can feel a slight mid-range increase in torque as well. I also have an aluminum underdrive pulley but did not notice any differences. If you go look at P...

Lunatech, If you are dead set on having the ability to turn your alternator on and off consider try this: 1) use a relay (for fog lights) that breaks the ground to the rotor from the battery then use a microswitch mounted at the throttle body, or 2) just use a small push button conveniently located ...

Back in the mid 80's I was visiting my mom in the mountains near Lake Tahoe. One night this guy is outside of the house so I go and ask what he is doing. He was talking wierd saying things that seemed biblical. He asked if I had a spare blanket. I brought one out to him and he thanked me and then as...

mTk, just going through the old threads, I want to stroke my ej22 n/a motor. What luck did you have or did you drop it?

Of course, by now, you've figured a 1/2 point increase in c/r with 2.4l.

tell me what you are doing now.

I have finished the mod on my n/a airbox and it is installed. Using the coffee mug mod it works great! Check the imagine in "Intake-familiar intake" under THAWA's last post. I swear I can feel a small mid-range improvement in torque! http://thawa.net/images/legacy/finn1/ I'll be submitting...

The other day I was at the Auto Hobbyshop and was looking at a stock WRX. An idea popped into my head. If a WRX after market header w/rear exit would clear the crossmember then the downpipe back exhaust would line up just right. Just have to get a straight pipe/cat to put in place. This would get ri...

A/C, Vent, Heat, Def

When it is warm the vent is stuck in "def/heat" setting. May have to drive 20+ miles with A/C blowing cold air before the system switches to "vent, A/C".

Anybody have same experience and know causes?

Forgive me if this is already covered.

I am gathering from the previous posts that a 2.5L crank and rods would drop right into an EJ22 block using stock 2.2L pistons.

If so, what years are best to look for?

If this is correct I may be building myself a stroker as well.

Hei BADWGN, I am finishing a mod to my airbox, it resembles the box from a '96 Legacy. I don't have any newer Legacies to look at but, it might be worth looking into taking the airbox, pipe from a newer car and test fitting. This would give you straighter shot to the throttle body, then snorkify, do...

Hei, I have a thought, may sound strange. I just finished an air box mod and haven't connected the hose that connects from the plenum(just past the TB) to the intake (1st hose after MAF). My car wouldn't start, in a mad attempt I just cracked the throttle open and she started and ran like a champ. T...

I just checked an online store and both the Sentra and Subaru panel filters were the same price. So, my thought is out of date now. 3 years ago, there was a big difference. Oh well.

is it the same filter? In regards to the fit of the Sentra application, the filter fits very nicely, it is not exactly the same size, maybe 2mm off on each end. I just finished a mod on my airbox and there is not any sign of dirt getting past the seal! The best $15 I ever spent, that is what my fri...

Hei All, I'm new to the sight, but, have been enjoying reading it for while now. I have a bit of news. Back in early '01 my friend sold me his K&N panel from his Nissan Sentra, I think it was a '00. Guess what, he paid $30 for it and one for us is $50. I checked it out at PepBoys and yup, the Ni...
