When talkin coilovers, can I mix sedan and wagon rears up?

Hey gang, I know I can put suspension from newer scoobs onto my 93 wagon, but Im not sure if I can throw coilovers from a newer sedan onto my wagon. I know they will physically fit but is there a height difference or damping difference. Or is it all just spring rate. Since coilovers are pretty stiff...

It is very easy to hook a distributor to a ej22. An older type ford escort disty will bolt in with very little customization to the flange I beleive. You bolt it to the cam slot behind the engine in the head. There is a plate there blocking it right now. I know of a few vw guys running dual weber ej...

I'm thinking of doing the auto to 5spd swap on my Turbo Wagon.
No, I installed it from the bottom and wish I didnt. It so easy to pull the subaru motors anyway. Plus you can give it a good clean that way.

My auto to 5mt swap probably took 10 hours total. Definatly worth it.

Make sure you check all your fluids after, i messed up on that part. Almost ended up with a garbage 5mt after i did all the work.

After doing a tranny swap in my wagon. I would definatly pull the motor next time. Expecially since yours are both autos. That tranny is heavy as hell and I could see it being a bitch to put back in from underneath. Glad your keeping the wagon over sedan, better subarus imo.

so i had he swap completed a long time ago. But when the 5spd was getting stored it was on an angle, and im stupid and didnt check the fluid when it was installed in the wagon. I made it over 100km on a pretty much fully dry transmission before she seized and locked all my wheels. Moral of the story...

4eat to 5mt swap, ignition question.

I can get the key ignition to start the vehicle after my 5mt swap. the car used to be a 93 wagon with automatic. now it has a 91 5speed in it. The only way I can start it right now is by jumping the starter solenoid or bump starting it. I cannot crank the starter with the key. Has anyone ran into th...

Wow guys, thanks for the help. Im gonna try this tomorrow. Does anybody know if the splined stub is the same between the automatic and the manual tranny? Since I have new CVs to put in anyway, and its just the cup from the old CV stuck on, I should theoretically have spare stubs from the old trans. ...

Couple of ideas.... There is often a small roll-pin inside the outer roll-pin, which makes them tight. I always check and knock the inner one out first(if it's in there). There are a couple of positions where the pins hit ribs on the castings on the far side of the hub as you are driving it out, so...

CV cup stuck on transmission! Help

The roll pin that holds the cv axle to the transmission was giving me trouble. I got it 1/4 the way out, then it stopped moving. I tried punching it out with a round punch, it got stuck in the little hole and it took me 10 minutes to twist it out. So I thought i needed something with the perfect dia...

Rear end and drive shaft is out. The wagon is in just gotta start unbolting. I think Im gonna start with the rear end and drive shaft this time.
