sorry if i didn't make it clear. i would be doing a complete swap.. broken 4eat to a 5spd manual...because the automatics are really expensive and aren't too fun. this is the best deal i've found so far for a Subaru 5spd trans.

Well my automatic doesn't have reverse (well it slips when cold, but otherwise nothing), and the impreza would be 900$ (body has a lot of rust and is missing panels :shock: . would you consider the investment a wise one?

i thought my rear diff was 3.54*(something like that, printed on the rear diff ...

would this be a difficult task to convert it to hydraulic? i would be getting the whole impreza car itself, so i'd have the parts ready. but would my ecu handle this difference/?

I'm asking if the manual transmission will bolt up well and all the gearing work out from a 96 Impreza L parts car to be put in my ej22t wagon.

max horsepower is around 5200 rpm anyway and if you shift at about 6000 is about perfect for staying in the horsepower range. At least thats with my car(automatic, i/c, @11psi) and my GTechPro. you've got more balls than me, my car vibrates bad at about 100

i am looking at this product for a manual boost controller i can control frominside the car. so if i running this off the 12vdc what kind of Potentiometer would i want to use, preferrably one that has enough resitance to keep it completely closed, and also ...

simply put the fuse in there.. cut one of the wires and put long leads on it that go into your cabin and wire it to a switch.. so it just finishes the circuit when flipped on..

The boostlevels are quite weird! If i really put the gas fully the boost peaks quite fast to 0.9bar but directly drops to 0.7-0.75 and keeps there thru the revs. Is the bleedvalve bleeding at all? Shouldn't the boost remain at 0.9bar. (3inch system from turbo and back + sport airfilter) Or is it ...

sorry to wander from topic.. but WHA!? how'd that happen, drive too long with it in FWD. i have a relay hooked up to my e-brake so when i pull up on my e-brake a tad the car goes into fwd :wink: , just wondering if that's how you broke your tranny. Mine ...

actually the vent still works.. air goes around it- it is slightly adjustable up&down too, couple mm of movement.

So your coolant filler tank is strapped to both the engine and the overflow tank? You're aware that those two things move relative to each other, right? The engine can move a lot on its mounts when it's producing a lot of torque.

It kind of looks like some of the hoses you ran go up and then back ...

I highly recommend replacing that clear vinyl tubing with 3/4" heater hose. It'll handle the temperatures much better.

How is your coolant filler tank mounted?

ya my local Ace hardware was out of heater hose that size, this is all they had, it does get very rubbery* after long drives... :?

everything was properly connected, and covered with electrical tape. i'll just try it again sometime later when i removed it i just cut the wires, so those connections weren't bad. Might as well re-make it, it should've work
