Revs is painfully high at 100kmh

G'day all, Recenly changed from Single Range to Dual Range box, changed final drive ratios, the Dual Range box is good, but I don't like the high revs for highway sits around 3100rpm at 100kmh (its just under 3500rpm at 110kmh). Now, I was wondering if I could modify the gearbox to drop down the rev...

Transfer case - Dual Range 4WD

Out of interest, is it possible for me to pull out/take off an transfer case from Legacy 4WD gearbox that has Lo Range (Hi/Fulltime 4WD) on it from a buggered (blown teeths in G/B 3rd gear?) dual range gearbox and fit it on end of Single Range AWD gearbox transmission that is on my 1995 Liberty? Che...

Hmm could be the clutch? how could the clutch be gone after driving 55,000 kms since new?

Someone said to me just now - might be wrong - Wouldn't it be the centre differential in AWD system gearbox? How will you know if its centre diff that has gone??

If you used normal male drive shafts without special LSD Stub axles then it won't be LSD, it'll become open diff.

Compression with EJ20 & EJ22 NA heads

A theory came in my mind, while I was driving around in Imprezas before I got my Liberty, I drove an NA 2.0 Litre , and NA 1.8 & 1.6 litres they had way less power than 2.0 Litre... Possible because of the size & power & compression differences... On 2.0 Impreza has 9.7:1 Compression &am...
