WTB- EJ25 DOHC Longblock, used or new but need a deal
My buddies 98 legacy popped the head gaskets and he doesn't want to pay me to tear down, resurface, pressure check and re-assemble. Just wants to pay for long block swap. So let me know what you got and for what price. You can call me too (530)906-7639 I'm in Northern California zip 95650. Thanks Je...

Okay so I cracked the block and found the #3 bearing was shot. Do you guys think with a replacement the play will go away? third from the left, is different and found it all chewed up http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c216/JGH_5/Engineinternal-toastedbearing.jpg Also is this scoring on the block nor...

Hey I would suggest pulling the lifters out, cleaning them, and then hand priming them. I had similar ticking noises and when I did that it fixed it. I found a tiny piece of Fuji bond gasket maker lodged in the lifter. Its really easy just pull the lifter out and completely submerge it in oil while ...

Well here's the thing I wanna replace it but because it's all busted to hell and I've never seen one of the plastic ones not glued back together. Anyways, in the future I'm thinking of installing a WRX intercooler so I was thinking about re-locating it to the location where the washer resevoir is an...

Help me with my engine rebuild? EJ22T PICS
Hey everyone I just pulled and dissasembled my engine and found the excessive crank play, which destroyed the font of my oil pump. I've decided I'm going to try and rebuild it and I'm looking for some tips and a parts list. I'm curious to know what you guys have used and liked. I have uploaded a few...

I have pulled off a at least 500 Main pulleys on Subies and have never found any free play in the crank. That leads me to believe that free play isn't normal? Especially now that I need a new oil pump because the seal lip is marred. Anyways, I've never re-built the short block before so I was wonder...

How difficult is the rebuild to do? Will I only need the Crank? Yeah I like the sound of the WRX heads on this block, know where a guy could get a set? Maybe a trade for my heads? Which Gasket set do you use there? Are the WRX heads a match for the decked block? Sorry so many questions but thanks fo...

Just Pulled my EJ22T and dissasembled. Found Crank Play?
Hey I just pulled my EJ22t from my 92 Legacy 5MT. Anyways, once I pulled the timing covers I noticed tiny metal shavings almost a powder. I pulled all the pulley’s off the front and found about a 1/16th of play in the crank, which was making the geared pulley on the crank rub on the oil pump. Thus t...

make sure when you pull the (4) 12mm TC bolts that you use a 6 point socket not a 12 because I'm tellin you it bites a whole lot better and if you strip those little puppies it's a real nightmare. Also my 1/4 inch air ratchet fits perfectly in the hole and it has enough torque that you don't need to...
