I have a 1990 Legacy wagon 5sp AWD and there is an exhaust leak up front somewhere in or neer the engine bay. Is there a common place where they leak.?

Well I guess it dident matter after all. I found a set of 185/70R14 studded snow tires with one season on them. Mounted and ballanced $170 out the door. YEAH for traction! Just got my 1990 Legacy L Wagon today. I went to open the back hatch and ummmm no handle??? I am assuming it should be under the chrome strip above the licence plate right?

Anyway its not there and I dont know how to get the hatch open to even rig a pull cable up. Can anyone help me out here?
