Hey,ThreeEyedBandit, raised a question in another thread about running a clutch for a 2.5 with an n/a trans. I have searched to find the answer with no luck. I seem to remember some one here saying something about the 2.5 clutches having some issue with the 2.2 though.
I have been running an n/a ...

Factory turbo air inlet delete?
Has anyone deleted the factory air inlet elbow (# 46023AA110)?
It seems the stock piece shouldn't be as brittle as it is (yeah, what should I expect from a frequently heated 14 year old piece of rubber, right?)
I am tempted to try a silicone elbow that reduces from the coffee cup to the turbo and ...

Rockin' White Legacy Sedan Layton Utah
As I was waiting at the, so called, traffic control light tonight, I heard a nice, loud, uncorked, boxer sound. I looked to the source as a white Legacy punched it through the chicane like on-ramp to I-15 southbound at Antelope Drive, in Layton, Utah. It sounded like it was nicely wound up and ...

I could do it, but my major deterents are: 1) TIME - to get it all done and not leave stuff hacked together just to get it back on the road instead of done right. and 2) I don't want to ...

A/T to M/T Crossmember confusion
I am trying to assemble the pieces necessary for an A/T to M/T swap in my T wagon. I can't seem to find the answer to this question here or from the local Subie dealerships:
Is the trans crossmember specific to:
1) turbo vs non turbo
2) 5mt vs 4eat
3) turbo auto vs turbo mt
in other words do I ...

Jason I tried it right side up and thought it looked funny, because the opening on the lip was narrower than the opening of the "mouth" in the stock bumper. It seems there were fitting issues that way somehow, but I don't remember just exactly what now.

I was going to post this myself, but I would have called it "Ghetto garage front lip"!!!
I really like how some of the JDM and Auzzie lips look on our cars, but they are way out there on price, so I thought I would try something just to see how it would work.

Forester mt in 93 Twagon questions
In reading on the board, it seemed to me that most subaru trannys will bolt up to the ej22t although getting the right pieces might be confusing. I am trying to assemble the pieces.

What are the thicknesses of the banjos of the oil feed line that are on the vf11? I know they are 10mm and 12mm diameters, but i am wondering the dimension between the copper washers - like block to bolt head or turbo body to bolt head. And is the banjo that goes to the turbo the same vf11 to tdo5 ...

When talking to a local Subaru parts guy about ordering another vacuum line with the check valve, he said: "So you have some moisture built up in the valve and it wont work on cold mornings, huh?" He said it is more common on WRX's than on our cars.

So do you plug the line once it is off the booster, the place the line comes off, or both?

I have a similar problem with full boost at partial throttle and occasionally even more power as I back off the throttle. As I back off the throttle (if the tranny doesn't shift) it will pull harder as the boost guage drops to 5#. I have been suspecting vacuum leak (I have only 10" at idle) and/or ...

how to set tbs?
I am fighting bogging issues and have been searching TPS threads and came across the reset ecu topic. For what it is worth - I had a mechanic tell me to reset the ECU by disconnecting both + and - terminals from the battery and connecting them together for 5 min. This was for a SLAAB 900 n/a (btw ...

Awful Vibration behind timing belt cover
Here's a little input for the collective knowledge base. I had driven across the barren scenery from SLC, Utah to Rexburg, Idaho seemingly without incident. When I started it up about an hour later, however, there was a terrible vibration coming from the engine bay, most notably from 1000-2000 RPM ...

legacy downpipe
I just installed a Megan Racing downpipe that I got from eBay. Their write up says it is for a WRX, but is 2-3" too short. Minimum bid is quite nice also. I thought I would gamble because I figured I would have to modify anyway. I had to work the mounting bracket to the trans so 1) the flange would ...

I have a 93 touring wagon that came with the Subaru alarm setup. I unhooked my battery to reset my ECU after installing a new downpipe and now the park lights and dash lights flash. I have been told by one Subaru dealership thatI can pay 40 bucks for them to reprogram the alarm. Another dealership ...
