GM is close to going under is what I heard. Also they slashed the employee discount to save money, then gave "everyone" the deal that's not that much of a deal anymore. If you can do all the work on a Subaru I'd say find an older one in good condition and save the money for a future down p...

It could be the turbo.

When I need to rebuild I'm going to get a set of total seal rings, I've heard they kick ass on turbo engines.

If the compressor wheel hit the housing to make chips you would have heard it!

The easy way to check the turbo would be to remove the DP and see if you can spin it.

Check the hose for your boost gauge as well, the plastic stuff that comes with most is crap.

The MAP sensor is tapped off the passenger side front intake runner. I would run the crank and head vents into a catch can with a breather. The only problem with your setup is if you get a lot of oil from blowby all over the place, the number of vents doesn't matter as long as you don't build up pre...

If your AFR doesn't go up to 13-13.5 as soon as the turbo starts to spool it will ping.

The stock ones will take you far. I think the money would be better spent elsewhere on your car.

I've never had the stock radiator let the temps creep no matter how hard I was pushing it.

I'd only bother with the custom one if you need to fit IC pipes or something.

Plug it. The manifold, take off the tree fitting and run one breather. My old car needed the same work as yours to fit the turbo/AWIC. It runs fine as long as you leave some place for it to go. I think I routed all the breathers to before the turbo. If I did it again I'd run them all into a catch ca...

Well...... I ran my AWIC with water and no pump for a week or two when my first pump died. No issues but I turned down the boost to 12ish PSI.

Long term I wouldn't run the AWIC dry.

When you say "Super 16G" do you mean the "big" 16G? I've seen the maps and the big 16G is crap.

I think I remember a post with the part # for STi IC sprayers. I think they were pretty cheap as well. I'd give the local Subaru dealership a try and see what they cost. I'd rather run something that was made for the job.

Got the USB adaptor to work. Have done some work on the pinging I get on roll on. I think it's easy to use and is working well to get rid of the pinging.

The big test will be the 440cc injectors, IC and turbo.

I bet the SSQV would hit the hood.

When I installed the AWIC I rotated the clutch resevoir so everything would clear the hood. I was also going to cut it down but it worked to just rotate.

I have not raised the boost and don't think I will with the PP. I have a MBC I'll use when I raise the boost. I don't think there is any kind of limit to the boost you could run with it. I can't get the PP to plug in to my laptop. It uses a DB9 serial port and none of the adaptors I have tried work....

Clipped is bad. If it was good for anything but top end in drag cars you could buy one from turbo manufaturers. Who cares about head flow if you have a monster turbo? To hell with all the "you need DOHC for power" guys. Just force air through the stock heads. If it was me I'd just get a 16...

Maybe find out about his GF/Wife's name then get a buddy (so he won't recognize your voice) to call his house and ask for her or hang up when he answers, just act funny. Then find out wher...

I don't trust anybody that works at schucks, nothing personal. And the only job I don't think women should have is combat. I hate the attude that women and men should be the same. Women make better pilots, men better engineers. It's a simple matter of different brain function. Not that I think anyon...
