Hello all. Returning member here. I was active a few years ago, owner of a '90 wagon.

I stopped showing up around here when things started slowing down, with a new job and working on the car taking up most of my time.

I currently do not have a Subaru of any kind, my "beautiful" wagon was totaled ...

Be it the first time you gunned the engine to hear the turbo spool up, good times with your friends/family, the blood and sweat you put into tuning, or when you got your best time at a race... What's the one meomory you have, involving a subie(yours or a friends), that will always be with you ...

Towed? Never. Pulled out of sticky situations, then continuing normally however, thats another story:

I've been stuck in sugar sand nine times, stuck in thick mud twice, got stuck on a rut once... Somethings telling me I should swap my FWD wagon for an AWD.

Checked/topped off the fluid lately? My tranny does the same thing when my fluid starts to get low, just not as bad.

That third picture, thats what my hood and windshield looked like before I washed it off. If that bird had been about a foot to the left... I think it's some global conspiracy, birds making kamikaze attacks on motorists world wide.

Don't know what they tasted like, I totally destroyed them. Have had fresh wild dove though, actually tastes better than chicken. Plus, wild game isn't pumped full of steroids and growth hormones and other nastiness.

Eh, the first few that hit the grill got it out of the way, then it was a clear shot to the rad. Damn beaks. I hit at least eight of the feathery bastards, and they were big too. I managed to get most of the feathers off, but a good portion of the blood dried before I could get at a hose.

Both my headlights are trashed, windshield has an eight inch crack right down the middle, the grill is totally shot, radiator is punctured in THREE PLACES!, the hood is scratched to hell, and I'm still not sure that's everything ...

+1 For the Metalic Green idea, or the Silver. Won't attract cops too much and still looks good.

Of course I've always been a big fan of a high gloss black with gunmetal five spoke rims. Tint the windows as dark as you legally can...

Like I said, cod liver oil is your best bet for the dog. Oil up the pooch, let sit for a few minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Get a bunch of lemons, quarter them, remove the seeds, then throw the whole batch(peels, rinds and pulp) into a blender or food processor. Grind them into a liquid. Mix in equal parts with both distilled and apple cider vinegar. Warm to body temp. Dab onto the skin and let sit for a few minutes ...

By no means, I´m a big fan as well. I was just pointing out that most of the people mentioned in my other post don give a rats ass about it, they just put the stickers on their trucks to keep up their blue collar appearence.

Looking around, I think I´m the only person here who is proud to call himself a subie driving redneck.. Now I said redneck, not white trash, there´s a difference.

So many subies. I feel so alone now. All my subaru driving friends are out of town. I wish I could have made it up there. Maybe next time.

+1 for a four off the ground trailer. No matter what wheels push the car along, it´s a better idea. Pay a bit more and keep the strain off the frame, suspension, and drivetrain.

Was a cable and broadband internet tech for six months but I coudln handle the heat in attics down here. Now I pick up odd jobs and do landscaping. All in all itś not a bad gig.

I havn´t hit triple digits in my suby... yet. The fastest I´ve gone was 95ish on I75 just aouth of Atlanta.

Thats what I love about florida, no front plates, no emissions testing, and unless you drive by a real jackass, the cops don´t bother you about noise too much. Any thing else about florida....
