that's normal with these cars. They always had cooling problems, unless you got an aluminum radiator and updated the coolant tank. Now go get a coolant funnel, with the little stopper, and fill your car with coolant while its cold. Then turn the car on and put all of the electrical loads on and wait...

Could be the coolant tank also. This happened to the car I just picked up, good thing I have an extra.

There is always the option of Sti takeoffs. They lift the whole car evenly.
